There was only one colour option for a custom VHS of Unapromo - it had to be grey! Early Unabomber had a satisfyingly unsettling aesthetic and Unapromo remains our favourite of their videos. It has an almost sociological feel to it and it exemplifies late 90s UK skateboarding with its rawness as well as its well defined sense of identity. This custom version of Unapromo uses an original VHS spool. We take this, clean it and then rehouse it in a grey VHS shell. We then apply newly printed front and spine stickers and hand number the back of each tape. The original Unapromo came in a blank slipcase with a window so we have sourced identical new ones. Every Video Years custom tape is an individual creation, combing parts of the original release with new elements. Each VHS comes with a signed card showing the date it was created and its number.
